KiPS Class Make-Up Policy

Make-up classes are offered for:

• Illness
• Travel
• Gym closures due to weather or facility matters

Please note that sick gymnasts must not attend class. Participants must be symptom free for 24 hours with no medication.

Preschool Classes (Limit 2 per session)

Dedicated Preschool makeup session Sundays 5:00-5:30pm, includes open gym!

Beginner I/II Classes (Limit 2 per session)

Dedicated Beginner I/II makeup session Sundays 2:30-3:20p

Intermediate and Advanced Classes (Limit 2 per session)

Makeup classes are held during other Intermediate/Advanced Classes

You have until the end of your session to utilize your makeup class or open gym coupon! To book your makeup, please email staff@kipsfamily.com

Families will be notified via Email, Facebook, and Instagram of all gym closures. Note that KiPS does not necessarily follow school system closings. 

If you cancel outside of 30 days, your deposit is refundable. If you need to reschedule/cancel within 30 days of the party, you can reschedule for no penalty to an available date, or if you choose to cancel, your deposit is non-refundable.

Enrollment in a session may be cancelled for a full refund at least 7 days before the session begins. Cancellations made after this time and before the class starts forfeits the deposit ($100 for most classes). After the class starts, remaining classes may be credited at 75% to your KiPS Account or 50% refunded to your card.

School's Out KiPS Camp registration may be cancelled for a full refund up to 7 days before the event. Cancellations made between 24 hours and 7 days will be credited to your KiPS account at 50% value. No credit will be made for cancellations made within 24 hours.

We understand that delays happen—traffic, unexpected errands, or last-minute changes. If you anticipate being late, please call us at 703-891-1514 to let us know.

A discretionary fee of $20 for every 15 minutes may apply.

You can cancel your week of camp 14 or more days before the start of camp will receive a full refund. You can switch weeks 14 days in advance with no penalty.  Cancellations made within 14 days of the camp start date will receive a 50% credit to their KiPS account. Please note that no makeups, refunds, or credits will be provided for individual camp days missed.

We offer a full refund for any drop-in class if you cancel at least one week in advance. If you need to cancel within one week of the class, you’re welcome to transfer your spot to another available class at no additional cost. Please note that no refunds or credits are issued for cancellations made less than a week in advance.

PNO registration may be cancelled for a full refund up until 5pm on the day before the event. Within 24 hours, we can move them to the next Parents' Night Out date with no penalty, or give a 50% refund to your KiPS account.

Cancellation Policy
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule of 30 or 60-minute private lessons. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will still be charged 50% of the lesson fee. Rescheduling lessons with more than 24 hours notice have no penalty. No-shows will be charged the full lesson amount.
