Helena has been involved in sports her whole life, including volleyball, cheerleading, and basketball. Helena has a passion for all things kids and exercise!
Lizz has been coaching since she was 16 years old. She is a full time student at George Mason University studying public health. She is currently on GMU's college dance team.
Rick is originally from Mobile, AL. He has been spending the last 7 years coaching in NoVA. He is very passionate about the sport. Rick has recently became a Certified Competition Judge.
Nicole was a competitive gymnast and cheerleader for 20 years and has been coaching for just as long. She is a certified early childhood education teacher who has taught preschool and kindergarten. Nicole is a mom of 2 under 2 and loves kids.
Abby has danced for 15 years and loves choreographing and tumbling! Abby loves doing theater as a senior at Meridian High School!
Leah has been a competitive gymnast for 10 years and has been doing gymnastics for 16 years in total. Leah loves the sport and coaching young gymnasts! Watching their growth in the sport is so special and rewarding to her!
Rachel is a junior at Meridian High School. She plays for the school’s varsity soccer team and is the manager of the school’s gymnastics team. She is excited to meet all your kiddos at KiPS!
Hugo is the games master! He's the one we call when we want to get the kids really wrapped up in imaginative and active play. He is a Junior at Meridian HS and loves theater, tumbling and Capoeira.
Amara is freshman in high school. She is a competitive gymnast for club and Yorktown. She loves gymnastics so much and cannot wait to teach your kids the sport she loves.
Ella has been on a competitive gymnastics team for the past 5+ years. She loves sharing her passion for the sport by coaching little kids.
Debra is our yogi. She leads the yoga stretch classes on Saturday mornings. She creates a warm and peaceful space for all.
Piper is in her 16th year of gymnastics - she started at 2 y.o. She is now a Senior at Meridian High School and a Level 9 Gymnast for the YMCA Angels in Arlington. She loves travel, adventure, and reading.
Ruby was a cheerleader all 4 years at Meridian High School. She recently graduated and is spending the summer at KiPS before moving to Nashville.
Owners Carey Pollack and Erin Kampschroer are native Northern Virginians with combined experience in the gymnastics world of over 40 years. It is a dream come true to open their own gym, and they are well-prepared to enter the youth sports market with the range of perspective that comes from years of experience in training, coaching, and as family managers (aka ‘Gym Moms’). They are excited about sharing their love of gymnastics and expertise, while building community and promoting wellness.
Carey is a firm believer in the positive influence of fitness and strength in the lives of all of us. She is a mother of five, two of which are competitive gymnasts - one JO Level 9 and one JO Level 3, with 16 years of experience supporting them through the sport, and many years serving in the parents association for their gymnastics team.
Carey is an educator and coach at heart, having taught science in secondary schools for 20+ years and coaching along the way. Through years of experience training and coaching in track & field she has developed an astute understanding of the psychology and physiology that leads to positive experiences in sports. She is a Langley High School alum, earned a BS in Geology from UNC-Chapel Hill, an MA in Education from VA Tech, and an MS in Geographic & Cartographic Science from George Mason.
Erin is a long-standing gymnast and gymnastics coach, as well as an everyday athlete who maintains an active lifestyle with a focus on health and wellness. Erin has coached competitive gymnastics for the last 10 years, and served as head coach for the Arlington Angels Xcel Program for 7 years. She values the physical and mental aspects of gymnastics and loves mentoring her gymnasts in many aspects of life; cultivating lifelong skills beyond the sport of gymnastics.
Erin has a 2 y.o. daughter and and she is a graduate of Georgetown Day High School and the University of Southern California with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in Mechanical, Electrical and Nuclear Engineering. She also is an engineer with a patent in a combustion based manufacturing process.
