Our Story: Carey & Jeff Pollack
As longtime sports parents, we know how challenging it can be to find the right gym—so we built one designed for families like ours. After 15 years shuttling our kids to practices across Northern Virginia, we saw the need for a safe, fun, and convenient gymnastics space inside the Beltway. That’s why we created KiPS—a place where kids can grow, parents feel at home, and families can share in the joy of gymnastics.
Carey is a Northern Virginia native, Langley High School alum, and proud Tar Heel, Hokie, and GMU Patriot. A veteran teacher of 20+ years, she has also coached track & field, cross country, softball, and gymnastics, helping young athletes develop both skills and confidence. She’s spent 16 years supporting her own competitive gymnasts and believes in the power of fitness and strength for all kids.
Jeff grew up in Springfield, New Jersey, and has called Northern Virginia home for 30+ years. A Lehigh University alum with a background in finance, he’s worked in project management while staying active in youth sports. Over the years, he’s coached teams in baseball, softball, basketball, football, and frisbee and has a passion for mentoring and tutoring kids. Whether coaching, teaching, or cracking a well-timed joke, Jeff brings energy, encouragement, and a touch of fun to everything he does.
We believe gymnastics is a fantastic sport for all kids, building strength, coordination, balance, and flexibility—skills that benefit any sport or activity. More importantly, it fosters discipline, confidence, and perseverance that last a lifetime.

We aim to spread joy and wellness through gymnastics, welcoming all ages and skill levels. KiPS is more than a gym - we're a tight-knit community through which families enjoy a recreational level of a sport that youth are drawn to naturally, and is so good for all! Our focus reaches beyond the gym, emphasizing strength, flexibility, and balance in life.
