Welcome KiPS Springers

After years of dreaming, KiPS is making it a reality this summer! We are proud to announce the KiPS Family Gymnastics competitive program, the KiPS Springers!! The team will be rooted in strong fundamentals, inner strength, and a positive culture. The name, Springers, was selected based on the graceful (and cute!) animal the klipspringer - a small, extraordinarily agile antelope that balances on the tips of its hooves and springs with precision across jagged rocks and steep cliffs, effortlessly navigating terrain that would challenge most other animals.

The USA Gymnastics Xcel Program offers a competitive pathway that balances structure and challenge with flexibility for families. At the introductory level, Xcel Bronze focuses on developing strong basics, proper technique, teamwork, and confidence in a supportive, encouraging environment. We will start with a selected group, pre-team, working through the Summer and Fall 2026, aiming to meet competition standards. From the pre-team, those who are ready will be selected for the Springers Xcel Bronze team competing in Spring 2027. Those not quite ready will continue as pre-teamers with plans to compete in Fall 2027.

Melissa "Coach Mel" Doucette will be our Xcel Bronze Team coach! Coach Mel competed for Team USA at the 2017 World Championships! She's a fierce competitor and her experience and leadership will guide athletes as they take this next step in their gymnastics journey.
